Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington KG
Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington, known after his
death as Nearly Headless Nick, appeared in some of Harry Potter’s episodes.
In the film adaptations of Harry Potter and
the Philosopher's Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets,
Nearly Headless Nick is played by John Cleese.

The ghost
of Hamlet's late father is a character from William Shakespeare's play Hamlet.
In the stage directions he is referred to as "Ghost." His name
is also Hamlet, and he is referred to as King Hamlet to
distinguish him from the Prince.

Sir
Simon de Canterville was created by
Oscar Wilde and appeared in Wilde's short story, The Canterville
Ghost. It was doomed to haunt his ancestral home, Canterville Chase,
until he could find someone to weep for him (as he lacked tears of his own), to
pray for him (as he lacked faith of his own), and accompany him to the Angel
of Death to beg for mercy on him.
The
Dead Men of Dunharrow
The Dead Men of Dunharrow (also referred as the Shadow Host, the Grey
Host, the oath breakers, or simply the Dead) are fictional
characters in J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth legendarium. They
appear in The Lord of the Rings as the ghosts of Men of the White
Mountains (Ered Nimrais), who were cursed to remain in Middle-earth by
Isildur after they abandoned their oath to aid him in the War of the
Last Alliance.
Slimer
Slimer is a character from the Ghostbusters
franchise. He appears in the films Ghostbusters (1984), Ghostbusters
II (1989) and Ghostbusters: Answer the Call (2016), in the animated
television series: The Real Ghostbusters, Slimer! And Extreme
Ghostbusters, and in the video games Ghostbusters: The Video Game and
Beeline's Ghostbusters. Slimer was voiced by Ivan Reitman and
Adam Ray in the films and by Frank Welker in the cartoon series. In
The Real Ghostbusters, he is the Ghostbusters' mascot & friend
(unlike the films, where he is just a ghost who needs to be busted).

Flying Dutchman (ship)
The Flying Dutchman is a legendary ghost ship
that can never make port and is doomed to sail the oceans forever. The myth is
likely to have originated from the 17th-century golden age of the Dutch East
India Company. The oldest extant version has been dated to the late 18th
century. Sightings in the 19th and 20th centuries reported the ship to be
glowing with ghostly light.
